Hi, my daughters 206 14 gxl has a strange problem, the braking lights are lit at all times, even when ignition is on but engine not started ( not if ignition is off I should add ), when the engine is running and the brake pedal is pushed, the brake lights sometimes flickers , any ideas on this??, when she drives the car no-one knows when she is using the brakes, thanks in advance Mike.

If you had used re search at the top left you would have found all the other threads on this.

There is a switch under the glovebox check it is not twisted or loose.

It's not earthing fault otherwise they wouldn't light-up at all.
Deffinately switch had it or is not in properly.

This is obviously quite dangerous and needs to be sorted or not drive the car.

Yea I though the same other earthing issues I have seen on here have usually been with the lights not working at all...

That used to be a common fault on Fords, the back end would light up like a Christmas tree when a bulb got power. The worrying thing is though that most people don't check their lights weekly so they could be running around like that for weeks until someone points it out to them.
