So after mapping it, it gave you more problems...
This is why I don't see the point of mapping these cars.
I had m DPF removed and the software updated 12k miles ago, have the occasional anti pollution fault, but that's down the to sensor in the fuel cap, but no other problems than that.
Just had a service and it's giving me 70.6 MPG

yeah im seeing all these problems after the remap to increase the power, as said in post before yours, im going back to std power but - the dpf so it should fix a bollok load of problems im having, mine atm keeps flagging unblock diesel filter on the mfd which is worring as i thought that was removed.
good to see it does work on some cars, hopefully it will work on mine eventually and before i go bankrupt.
70+mpg thats go to be moterways as best i could get round town was 58.8 and that was with a fcuked turbo.
what else is done to your, and who did the mapping as i may need to call them if this guy cant get mine right. i can get my original map put back on the car but then it will flag all sorts of dpf issues, the only constent problem is that overboost one so if i can cure that ill be abit happier
what the smoke on acceleration like on yours, as mine use to be like turing out daylight, if you were following me. i get there will be some smoke but i didnt think it would be that bad.

I get normal 'diesel' smoke on acceleration. A lot less than Beemers I see whizzing by me, so nothing out of the ordinary.
I had mine completed removed, not bored out and software modified at a place in Chelmsford, Essex called Kee Automotive - www.automotiveremaps.co.uk/faqs.htm - cost me £450 and that's all i've had done to it.
The chap did say there are 2-3 different software remaps and sometimes if the right one isn't used, it can cause issues.
80% of my 450 miles a week is done on a dual carriageway with a standard 15min traffic jam every morning. Depends how you drive it as well, as I try to drive under 2k rpm if i'm not in a rush.

thanks, had a chat with him yesterday, he gave me some good advice which as soon as i get my car back (hopefully today or tomorrow) ill be looking into.
yeah that figure is about right, as the one big trip i managed to get before it all went wrong with mine was about 70+ mpg, all motorway, round town i was seeing 58+ with the std 110 (dpf removed) map.
and i hear you about the 2k rpm, as soon as i blip it to over 3 i get the overboost error (which also says anti-pollution fault in the mfd), so once i have it back im gonna check the rubber pipes, and see if i have one split, check the intercooler, check the air-doser again.
then call the guy who did the dpf delete and get him to come to me to sort the map back to 110, then see where im at, taking to an exhaust place today about the possibility of fitting a through pipe in hte dpf can so it would essentially be a straight through system but look like a std dpf one (i have checked and by law neither the dpf or the cat are required on this engine)

Hiya,
I've heard things about straight through pipes bugger up the DMF. But also heard tales of mapping these engines also buggers up the DMF. Without the filter in place its a lot freer flowing and you may have to remove the CAT with the straight through pipe which you will need for the MOT.
If the car comes with a CAT, you will need it for the MOT.

little update, car is still at the garage, failed its mot on 2 things
1, H.I.D.s (i have halogen bulbs so thats a simple fix)
2, broken coil spring
that was it, emissions were ok

finally got the car back, felt so different to drive compared to the ZR, still smokes, but not as much as it did, so i think another remap back to he std power it will hopefully sort out the problems im having which are listed below
1, seems to be overfueling (black smoke on heavy acceleration)
2, still seems to have a preasure problem (when accelerating, it feels like there is a blockage in the airflow, then suddenly it clears (thats when hte black smoke is worse) and its back to normal, this happens at around 3000rpm)
3, not sure if its still overboosing as i dont want to try pushing it to far till its mapped back to std
so after getting it back i set to fixing a few problems that have been niggleing at me, so got the rear seatbelt sorted out. and then off to a tyre specialist to work out why 3 of my tyres keep delating, 1 had a nail in it, the other 2 had bead seal breaks so were letting out air, so £122 later and its all fixed, as my tyres were in nearly new condition there was no point replacing them.
so that brings me to saturday, i decided as the weather was nice, i would strip out the complete air intake system, except the turbo, so with that all pipes and intercooler were removed and cleaned, the amount of metal fragments left in hte intercooler was bad. so now with all that cleaned and a quick wipe down (dont have any engine de-greaser) i put it all back together and fired it up, alot of white smoke and then it was actually clean ideling, where it would normally chuff black smoke.

little update.
smoke problem seems to be alot less, its still there and still annoying, but its not so thick anymore, you can only just see it out the back window (from when inside the car). still getting a blockage somewhere, but that seems to have eased abit as well, drove it for about 50 miles varying the rpm, and load on the engine, could not get it to trip the overboost sensor, however from experience this wont kick till i have done at least 300 miles, so who knows.
on a plus point, normal driving seems to be fine, as stated above, when i push it it smokes heavy, again not as bad as before, but still to the point of annoyance.
the only major thing left to replace is the air/turbo system is the AIR DOSER.
now if im right and please any help would be appreciated, the air doser changes the flow of air via opening and closing butterflys, allowing more or less air depending on conditions, now it one of these butterflys becomes stuck, would this cause the problem im getting, as if it is suddenly gets to much preasure it releases (causing the black smoke, and sudden acceleration), please anybody.

Hmm yes and no,
Yes cause its costing a bomb to put right, the lower (even though I was told it would be better) fuel econemy
No cause the acceleration (when working right) is insane for such a small car, and without the remap I would not have found all the other issues my car has
That said if I can get it running properly without the dpf at std power ill be happier at least
