Hi,

Having probs, 206 1.1, fine accelerating, fine slowing down, say I'm in a 30 zone and trying to stay at 30 the car jolts moldy, as son as I touch the accelerator it stops. Any ideas. Had 2 new injectors and no engine light is one, runs perfect apart from this.

Defo sounds like fuel starvation...
Is it stalling and lumpy on tick over?
Can you see an inline fuel filter?if yes how much fuel is in the filter and is it clean looking?

Most 206 do not have a fuel filter as such.
It's a non-servicable integral fuel pump system.

What gear are you in when doing 30, at a guess i presume 3rd, if you change down to 2nd and accelerate to 30
do you still get juddering.

Check intake/exhaust valve tappet gaps.

Hey there omricn...maybe you might like to hijack this thread as"myfirst206"must be too busy???SO...
does it stall and judder at all on tickover?
When was it serviced last?
what gear are you in on rattle...and
Does it still rattle in 2nd,3rd,4th?
Can you see an inline fuel filter?
Does it have the Bosch spark plugs?
What other speeds are juddering?20,40,50,60,70???
It will be good to continue with the thread incase others have the same problems with there pugs.

Hey guys, thanks for your interest you are awesome I must say Smile

well, lets begin the answering:

- I didn't get to replacing my spark-plugs yet but if I'll go there I think I'll go get bosch OEM ones from the dealership
- stall and judder on tickover - no stall, juddering a bit, sound from exhaust is "whoom-whoom-whoom" in one second intervals.
- last service about 4000-5000 km's ago (that's about 3000 miles), about 6 months ago. (sparks weren't replaced as they were in good condition)
- gears when feeling rattle - 1st, 2nd and 3rd, on low speeds, can feel the engine not getting enough air\fuel, and suddenly accelerating ok, and then a couple of seconds pass and the same behavior.
- can I see an inline fuel filter - have no idea how to check.. pardon my ignorance..
- spark plugs type - don't know, last time I saw them I didn't check, but I think so.
- car judders at speeds up to about 30-40 mph

IMPORTANT-
this morning I had some trouble with the car, seemed like it didn't get enough air\fuel, juddering, even stalled on me once when going from 3rd straight to neutral at a stop light, so I decided to stop by my uncle's garage, I described the symptoms, and suggested it might be related to the fuel pump or the spark plugs, he said he didn't think so, he thought it's more likely related to sensors\air, so he got a can of carb cleaner spray and sprayed into the hose connected to the throttle body while I revved the engine a bit, the juddering at idle then stopped, and I went for a test drive, drove it slowly, going from 1st to 2nd and 3rd and down to 2nd and 1st going no more than 35 mph - no juddering, idle is perfect, car didn't stall, drove fine all the way to work, including stop lights, heavy traffic, faster driving etc. so I'm going to pay attention to every judder and rev drop, I'll update tomorrow!
p.s also my uncle suggested to buy a fuel additive - Gold Label by Liqui-Moly and add it while I have about 1\4 of the tank, the car shop was closed so I'll get some this afternoon and give it a go.

If the cleaner down the inlet improved it I would suggest taking out the inlet manifold sensor, small 8mm headed screw holds it in place, I've had no end of probs with these on TU and ET series engines, if the engine oil level is too high or even on the max in some cases oil vapor gets on to it and gives erratic idle and cutting out probs at junctions/lights clean this directly with carb cleaner and gently blow out, re-fit and see if that works, keep an eye on how high you top your oil up to also, if you can keep the level between 1/2 and max if this fixes it.

If its the TU5JP4 there is also a stepper motor reset procedure to stop it closing the throttle on return to idle, back in 2007 was a software flash to help improve.

Thanks allot guys you are awesome, Matt - great suggestions I'll be sure to give it a try this weekend and report back.
Meanwhile everything is a-ok, just came back from the gas station, filled her up half a tank and added the fuel additive, everything feels fine.
