Boot rattle is a common issue. If you search the forum you'll find your answer.

The answer is bin the striker, then fit and carefully adjust a new one. (66 letters)

I recently had a thumping noise coming from the rear of mine - at first I thought it was the boot/parcel shelf but it turned out to be the rear axle bushes deteriorating and causing it to bang. Cost me £15 for two bushed off eBay and £30 to have them replaced.

I had the rattling rear bootlid & so I adjusted the black locking mechanism (where the alarm sensor/wire attaches to) Big torx screws - my problem was solved!

My daughters was rattling from what I first thought was boot, then I thought petrol filler cap. It turned out to be poorly fitting rear seat latch. The folding rear backrest was not fully latching unless slammed into position.
