Hi everyone. Managed to rebuild my engine and upon fireing it up for the first time, symptoms of idle continued and it seems the ICV has gone. So I'm actually driving with the car with the ICV not connected till I get a new one. Car runs fine now but mpg has risen sharply. My question is, when I get the new one, what procedure should I follow? Is it just a matter of plug and play? Its a 1999 pre-plex 1.1. Thanks in advance.

So, I've decided to shell some money on the ICV since its drinking petrol like crazy for an 1.1. I've taken the old one out and got the number part B30/00 (first line) and A2718 (second line). So decided to have a look on ebay but every seller says its not compatible (even though I see B30/00 in their supported list). So the question is, are all ICV's the same?

You'd be better off searching for the Peugeot part number.
Neither of those are. It should be 6 letters/numbers. They look like manufacturer and batch numbers.

Now thats a bummer. I don't own an owners manual. These are the only numbers on the ICV. Av a look here :
Buying online seemed a great idea since the dealer here wants my arm lol
Anyone with an idea of whats the part number? thanks!

If you give them your reg they should know..
failing that your chassis number..
because those on your current icv are just mould numbers or sumthing..

Reckon it could be either of these 2 19209V or1920AH
That bottom pic is possibly just the connector number

UPDATE : Thanks Macca for taking your time to help me out. Ordered the part but when it arrived the length of the shaft wasn't the same and the car would idle @ 3000 rpm. Decided to try to interchange both parts but couldn't take the new one's shaft out (since I was farked on my internet order anyways). I out of dispair, then proceded to clean the old one since it was completely disassembled (spring, round thingy and shaft was covered with sh*t). Refitted everything, first time it rpm'ed @ 3500-3000 rpm. Again, took it out and played with the length of the shaft and to my surprise, it now works, no longer stalling on stops etc.
So my question is, how does this thing work? Anyone can shed some light on that? Its great that its working, but its also good to learn something along the way and maybe help other people cause I see this topic a lot. Thanks!
Also, if I did something which isn't right, do chime in. Thanks!
