Hi All,
I've had my 206 for a little over a year and love the fuel efficiency. Its been very reliable so far, well I had to put a starter motor and fix and airbag connection, and a few other things, but its a Pug.

The check engine light recently came on under city driving, fully warmed up, I think about 30 mph, 3 or 4th gear. The light didn't flash, it just came on solid and has been on solid since then. And there are no drivability problems, and weren't any problems when the light came on.

Is this something that will go out in X miles, if the offending condition does not re-occur? Or do I need it hooked up to a computer?

Also, is there anyone in SE London with the tools to do this? As I say, the car is perfectly drivable, so I could come to you. And I don't expect it to be free.

Thanks.

Just have to plug it in and see.

Hopefully someone local on here will plug it in for a few beer tokens.

A local garage should be able to read the codes for you. The charges vary on where you go. Once you have the code, have a look in this thread for it's meaning and then someone will more than likely be able to come up with a solution.

The light should go off after the problem is fixed, but the code will still be stored until it's deleted.
