My fuel pump died about 2 weeks ago so i fitted a new fuel pump, it worked. i left it for a week when on holidays, came back and it wouldnt start. i changed the fuel pump again as it was under warrenty, didnt work, changed the battery, tested the wires going into the fuel pump and fuses and still no luck. The car is also telling me it is in "Eco mode" even though the battery is fully charged if that helps.

ECO MODE will go once the engine is running, its just a battery saving function.

You need to tell us what engine your 206 has so we know what fuel system we are dealing with, all we do know is its multiplexed.

ECO MODE comes on after a set time when the engine is stopped if the car hasn't been locked to protect the battery from being drained.

Does the immobiliser shut off the fuel pump on a multiplexed?
It would make sense and then no un-burnt fuel is contaminating the cat.

Check the fuel pump fuse then, or it could be the fuel pump relay.
