Hi all
Got a cambelt kit for hdi just wondering about the
tension on it as don't have peugeot digital tool!
I know tension is tested between cam & diesel pump pulley
But it's not a big distance like I've done on other cars where
Turn belt just about 90 deg
So how much should the belt be able to twist once tensioned?
Hope makes more sence than it has typing it
Also does anyone know how long peugeot has cambelt change
Booked at?
Thanks

Other than the 90 degree twist, there isn't a good way of telling without the correct tool or experience really.
But if anyone does know it would be nice as I will be doing the same in a couple of weeks.

it will be best to hire the tension tool from your local hire shop (seem gauge ) an i thing the belt change is around 72 tho but dont quote me on that
also dont forget to turn over the belt atleast 4 times by hand before check timing marks and tension

I very much doubt that Peugeot main dealers bother with the Seem tool.
