Hope someone can help. My 180 is stuck in 2nd. Gear stick is sloppy and won't select any gears but car is in 2nd and clutch works so can still drive but everywhere in 2nd! Anyone know what this might be?

Cable gear linkage on the 180.
Get it up on the ramp & have a look.

Yes it does sound like the gear linkage.
Mine did the same thing and they do just pop back on, like a ball and socket fit.
Although this will only be a temporary fix as they will come off again at some point due to them being worn so I would get them replaced ASAP.
I have the Peugeot 206 1.4 HDi and I accessed the gear linkage by taking the air filter housing off.

Back of the engine right hand side from the gearbox to the middle of the car. 2 or 3 different length metal rods on mine. Not sure how many. Mr BSI says yours is cable though. They are easier to see from underneath.

Easier from above id say. Remove the battery and box and look from the back of the gearbox, to the middle of the engine, above the exhaust manifold.
