Hey guys. So ok I have a 1.4 16v Sport, with 205/40/17's on the standard sport suspension (same as GTi 138 I think?) and when I have a couple of people in the back it still scrubs on the rear arches going over dips etc.

Then I recently fitted SP arches, thinking I'll just put up with it on occasion as I don't often have people in the back, but after one short trip I have already lost 3 of the arch clips! (one from o/s and two from n/s)
Now I obviously don't want to keep loosing clips so I really need to figure out why its scrubbing so much on non lowered suspension!

Has anyone got any ideas or insight?? As I'm clueless with suspension Embarassed

Thanks but I don't want to have to change the wheels, they just shouldn't scrub on standard suspension so somethings got to be wrong. I just don't know enough to figure it out...

No they are basically 17 inch Kahn RS-S (But the Lenso re-release) with 205/40/17 tyres. The Vortex on 180's are 215/40/17 so surely these shouldn't rub.
I'm not sure what offset they have, but I bought them off a guy who had them on a 206, so I thought that they'd be right. I never thought about the offset though to be honest.

Right ok, thanks for the links. I'll check the measurements as soon as I can.
What is it supposed to be for 206's then? Bearing in mind mine has the sport arches.

I wouldn't bother checking some random generic link. Take a wheel off and check the offset yourself. Should be stamped on the wheel somewhere.

Offset is ET25 - 28.
