Just trying to narrow down something, bit of lumpy idle, more of a problem when reaches running temp.
would have been so much easier if they used a damn MAF on these cars lol. Got a reading of around 13.6......whatever it is, at idle when at runnin temperature, does this seem right,i have no idea how to read this measurement. anything else it could be has been checked other than completely replacing the MAP & IAC (cleaned both already)

Coolant temperature sensor caused my 180 to run rough and rich. U burning more fuel than usual?

Well the manifold pressure should be a 1000 with no engine running. Think about volecity and vacuum, as 1000 millibars is 1 bar aka normal day to day air pressure we live in

Petrols (all?) don't use MAF.
Also diesels use both MAF and MAP - well MAPT actually.

yeah its petrol, and yes consumption has flopped, fitted new lambda while back and it seemed to have sorted the problem but now its dropped to 24mpg avg round town again,OBD is showing ltft is up to 15% again grr. found on here how to check the MAP by voltage so going to see if i can borrow a meter and manage do that. tried coolant temp sensor before, unplugged it,just ran like a dog.

Close ish. Diesels, modern anyway run map and maf to calculate the temperatue, air flow being drawn in and pressure after the turbo.
Petrols do/can use maf over map

That measurement is in mercury which is thr measurement of vacuum. I look at manifold pressure and not the degree of vacuum so I cant help on that front

oh ok,well when you said 1 bar is normal atmosphere,my MAP is essentially reading 0.89bar key-on-engine-off. if i run it and blip the throttle hard it drops but only to around 13 ..... so about 0.5bar.
i did some rough working in my head (could well be completely wrong lol) but think this means it isnt going as low/high voltage as it should to maintain proper fuel mix........either way, ordered one off flea-bay,genuine used part,£18,probably what it costing me extra in fuel a month atm lol
