It's definitely worth getting it to a reputable auto technician (not expensive Peugeot!) to get the fault codes read.
If there is a fault with fueling etc then it should come up on the diagnostic machine as yours sounds very consistent.

Yes I have cleared mine before by thrashing it. Not redlining though!
usually it has started it again at a later date though.

I had my EGR valve replaced last week and have been on a motorway run for 70 miles today and it hasn't missed yet.
I will let you know if this is consistent though.

I had the EGR replaced a couple of weeks ago and the intermittent power loss hasn't happened since.
Hopefully this will have sorted it.
Until the next problem!

Yes the intermittent power loss returned again after Replacing the EGR.
In the end it was the crankshaft sensor which was faulty.
Got that replaced a couple of years ago and its been perfect power wise ever since.

My 1.4 hdi's power loss was the cat ... the core collapsed.

Not easy to diagnose as I had a problem with the glow-plug relay at the same time. But after curing that and losing power again on the motorway decided to check in the cat pipe ... not a pretty site!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
