Hello,
I have an X reg Peugout 206. My boot won't shut properly, and even when I lock the central locking you can still open it. The latch is closed and I can't open it, that clearly is one of the reasons... so how do I fix it? And what could the other reasons be?

New latch? I found that one of the 206's that i bought has a similar issue and it was because someone has crashed into it bending the chassis in a little and knocking the alignment out..

So the latch was open and fine, but it still didn't shut properly. So I decided to flick the latch over to see what would happen but now I can't get it open again... how do I flick it open?

Sounds like its no longer connected to the central locking or the operating solenoid/rod is not working. Take off the inner trim from the tailgate and have a look at the works. You should then be able to move the rods to open and close the lock. It's fairly simple ...

On our CC, which is similar, the plastic operating rod bent over time and it stopped it from activating properly. Had to replace it and then had to bend the metal link rod ever so slightly to stop it bending the rod again!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
