CAN I RECCOMMEND that before posting "problems"with our cars we would be wise to look under "THE BEGINNERS GUIDE TO THE 206"as ive just read it thru, again, and half the questions posted in "PROBLEMS" are solved -fully and completely and clearly without any need to consult the massive help also supplied by us keen 206 owners, despite being keen to help myself, its probably easier understood on the "beginners guide...page" so less hassle all round.....

BEGINNERS GUIDE covers from-jumping locks cured by door lock solenoids,to fixes for non starters,to correct sizes and fittings, like tyre pressures and spacer requirements, all covered and quickly accessed.

Thank you for the post. Very helpful for a bunch of my silly questions. Really filled some space in the knowledge for me.

Very useful post. I haven't found if my 206 1.1 XR 1.1 (15.08.2001 first registration) is multiplexed or normal. I have Nothing extra. No AC No ABS, No Radio, just normal clock. Under the bonnet I can see that ECU is Magnetti Marelli.
My dashboard is different. Does not have RPM meter only speedometer, temp. gauge and fuel gauge.
Windows are manually operated both front and rear.
Only driver AIRBAG. Nothing else.
But I can't find more info. I need to know if the car is multiplexed or just normal ?

Thanks

easiest way to tell is by looking at the radio stalk by the steering wheel. If it's long and thin, then it's pre-plex. Short and fat is multi-plexed.

Another way to tell is by looking at the indicator/wiper stalks or the passenger compartment fusebox. Both long winded to explain.
Characteristics on servicebox will also point you in the right direction.

FYI there are some dead links to the owners manuals that might need updating. I found the peugeot 206cc here

www.peugeot206cc.co.uk...ndbook.pdf

it seems to explain a few things on my GTI although not everything.
