Sometimes while driving I can hear Knocking noises that sounds like its coming from underneath the car.
What is causing these noises?

Do you mean a mechanical knocking noise.
Or something is loose knocking noise.

No metallic noises like metal hitting into each other although it could be that from my perspective in the cabin.
If it was something loose it would make make a constant noise i believe.

Have a look at the exhaust heat shield to see if it's been touching the exhaust.

I've got exactly the same problem, just got my car mot'd passed with no issues but got mechanic to jack it up and check if he can see anything loose for this annoying knocking rattling noise but there was nothing loose expect he mentioned about my exhaust had a box missing in the middle :/ ( not sure if this is true) which it could be he said , for me the time it makes most noise is if you lift your clutch up to biting point and when my car is on choke.

yeah i notice the noise when clutch at biting point. What can it be?
