Well lack of reversing lights has finally done its damage. I reversed into something last night....heard an awful crunching noise but didn't feel any impact. Got out but could see or hear nothing....it was pitch black and I only had the tail lights to illuminate anything..I looked round the car, under the car....nothing to see. I got back in, reversed back and heard the crunching/ dragging sound again but this time I carried on slowly and it stopped. I drove to an illuminated road, stopped and looked at my car again. All I could see was a broken wheel trim?? In daylight again all I've done is the trim.....no idea what I hit still.

I tried to use lack of reverse light as an excuse too.. I replaced the switch the other day, you don't see the light at all when reversing! I reversed into a black fence a few weeks back.. Best tip I can do for reversing is, throttle your brakes, you'll be able to illuminate the area better with the red brake lights giving you a rough idea of what's behind. Still, don't rely on just them, but it does help:)
It sounds like you've caught your car on a high up curb or something.. Check your tyre too, it maybe damaged.
Luckily, when I reversed, I did it slow like yourself and didn't really damage anything. It was pitch black behind so I couldn't see. Was leaving a friends and she has gates all around her place. Kept going back and slowly went crunccchh, haha. Only a slight graze to the bump strip that I painted. Went to a bodyshop and got it all sorted:) bril.

Just curious how much did the bodyshop charge to fix the damage in the pic?
Also I like how you sly-ly cropped out the damage in your signature, that's if its there in that picture

When reversing into my garage at night I do use thr brake lights. Just didn't think of it while out because I'd driven into the space with no problem
so I should not have had a problem reversing out. I have a new set of trims on order and my car already had a few knocks and scratches
when I got her so I'm not too worried as there is no major damage to anything, tyres included. PS . I was gonna get pink and black trims
but just went for silver again for now.

The new switch is on its way! My mechanic friend said he'd get it and fit it.....but I found out today he's off work with a bad back so cant do anything for the next few days at least.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I hit the post as I didn't think anything was there. Brake lights only get applied when you're either stopping or aware of something in the area.. Nightmare! we need rear high beams lol!
You should get a set of cyclone alloys or nimrods, spray them pink:) they'd look alright on a black car.

I originally wanted purple accessories for my car but trying to find anything was a nightmare.
I got the skulls and nickname and of course the 206info sticker in purple but almost everything
else is pink or red so I had to opt for pink. You can't get purple dice anywhere (well not
when I was looking). I'm keeping my eyes open for purple bits though.

I'm part of a car renovation service, if you wanted specific things purple/pink, I could probably help you... We recently did a little number on a Corsa C. Wrapped the roof lining in leather. Including A/B/C pillars, door cards and a few other bits and pieces.
Currently in the process of wrapping my peugeots in black. Only got my pillars and sunvisors left to do:) For stickers, I just happen to have a vinyl machine, if you want something specific, just let me know over PM and I'll sort you out

may sound dumb but you weren't parked up to a kerb (in front of the car) by any chance
had my 206 about 3 months now and whenever i went to tesco and parked when i revered i would hear a terrible dragging sound soon realised it was the front splitter

No...lowered kerb and parking bay? It's still a mystery because going back to the spot in daylight just revealed bits of my trim on the floor!
I suspect some of the crunching noise was maybe the front wheel going over the bit that had come off.....but how it got off in the first place
is still a puzzle. I'm now wondering if the car that was parked next to me might have got to close and broke my trim as he/she drive in.
I wouldn't have noticed because it was passenger side.

Why dont you have reverse lights?
Have you not changed the switch in the gearbox?
