Use the A/C if you have it.

On a serious note, if it has the climate control, turn on the Automatic Visibility programme button, the bottom, left next to the auto button.
gets rid of humidity very quickly.

Open the back windows slightly.
The steam/condensation on you windows is caused by moisture in the air. People generate moisture,
Warm air carries moisture cold air can't hense the condensation.
Open windows to allow the warm air to carry the moisture out side untill car is dry inside. You will need to carry on doing this as people generate moisture by breathing constantly.

And having the windows clean on the inside helps a bit. Dirty windows tend to get foggy more easily.

Also set your circulation system to bring in air from the outside. As above there is a lot of moisture in peoples breath. If you don't replenish the air with fresh air from the outside that moisture from their breath builds up more and more.

The reason aircon helps demist is that the moisture in the the air condenses on the aircon unit because when the aircon is on that is very, very cold thus removing moisture from the air. Aircon on and heater set to hottest setting means you have very dry warm air inside the car. Perfect for removing condensation.

Other things to check:-

Damp carpets from any leak?
Mates spilt a drink in the car?
Clogged or damp pollen filter?
If you have a Roland Garos sun roof then with the inner blind pulled across moisture settles on the inside of the glass of the sun roof. When air circulates it picks this up and that then settles on the side windows. Pull the inner blind back and wipe the sun roof dry. This caused havoc with my daughter's car before we found out what was happening.

Finally, with this very, very wet atmosphere at the moment with 4 adults in the car it might struggle a little at the moment.

My car fogs up badly too. My passengers don't like it when I ask them to stop breathing......I'm gonna try some of the suggestions now because I'm running out of friends. Wink

Yes, as my post, a new pollen filter can make a big difference.

a/con on is the answer, but once you start to use the air con to clear the windows it becomes the only way to clean them until the car gets a through flow of fresh air like in the summer.
