Is there an alternative to buying new from Pug at £60 a pop and 10 day wait?

I've read about all the different methods, and really i'm after a source to buy used. I've emailed Breakeryard etc

Mine is this type

Would it be possible to weld a socket to this type?

Go to kwik fit and get them to remove them all, then get some McGaurd locking nuts.

Not possible to get a used one, they are made specific to your vehicle.
Hence the 10 day wait.

You could call out your breakdown provider, and say you are doing some work on the brakes, but cannot remove the wheels, the main ones like the RAC, and the AA carry the equipment to get them off.

Try your local dealer ... they may have a master set or a collection of spares that might work.

Or email sales @ evoautomotive.co.uk and see if they can help. Send them a picture of the lock nut.

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Is it the key or the bolt that you need? Confusion between the title and the content of the thread for me.

If it's the key, then as suggested go to Kwik Fit or a more reputable tyre fitter and see if they can whip the bolts out for you, and then buy a new set.

If it's the bolt you need, easier and cheaper buying a new set and replacing the lot.

A new set of monkey metal crap from ebay about £10 and they will fall to bits after first use.
A new set from the dealer is around £40. Better than paying £60 and waiting 10 days

McGard lockers are about £30-£40 and will last much longer too.
