I have noticed that during high speed the battery light is coming on and disappearing frequently. Is this an indication of alternator failure?
When checking the battery at normal car idle speed, the output voltage is 14V. The battery is also a new one.
Cheers.

The negative battery cable was a little loose, I'm not sure if something like this may cause the battery light to come on while driving.

You might have a problem with your AUX. Belt tensioner ,which cause the belt to be loose when speeding.
