Hi, my cig lighter works fine and gives power fine. But I was sure when I bought the car the outline of the base light up when car lights on. now does not light up. how do i change bulb. are spare bulbs easily available?

bulbs are available from halfords and are the same for the mfd and heater controls, its do able but a pain in the a**e

the easiest way is to take the console out and replace the whole unit

Indeed, I tried replacing mine. Its a Pita to replace that bulb since you need to take it apart and there is a tiny piece of metal which makes contact that usually breaks upon touch. One thing thats easier is to just replace it. Even Clios have the same unit, so plenty.
Have a look, the bulb is in the housing to the south. A PITA to take out.
