I did search, found many threads about water in various places, but none under back seats.

I was just wondering what could be causing this? or most likely to be so I can sort it out.

there was a fair bit, not just damp, no where else in the car is wet, no seats, nothing else seems to be affected at all except under both back seats.

Any ideas.

Thanks for advance for the help.

Well since you are driving a 5dr like mine,I had this issue before, and the cause of this problem was having the rear windows slightly open, and the rear lights need to be checked if they are not tight enough, that will allow water to get inside.

Are you sure nothing in the boot is wet?

If the back windows were open slightly then wouldn't the seats be wet?

I'll check the back lights tomorrow as well.

If boot is wet too, water will come in from the rear right tail light. I had some liters of water under my back seat...
Just put a ring of adhesive foam where the tail light seal lean to the chassis

Simple realy, next time it rains, take everything out of the boot, lift the rear seats up, watch and see which direction and area it is coming from.

Unless it's coming from underneath when he's driving.

I had a similar problem, I took the rear seats about 3 months ago and noticed water, however my boot and seats are dry, I can only assume its coming from under the car, however I haven't had the seats out since to check.

There are grommets/plastic clips in the boot the water is most likely coming in there. take them out put in a bit of sealent or rubber oring and pop them back in. should solve the problem
