How can it be possible for both wishbones to become "f****d" after single pothole?

Managed to find 2 replacements brand new for £48 inc VAT

IS there any more "reliable" makes out there as the genuine ones are a joke

How old were the old ones and what failed? If they are still under warranty take them back.

Make sure you put a claim into the council too as it's their responsibility to make sure the roads are maintained in good order.

Try Lemforder form ECP. About £70 each but worth paying the extra.

were you going pretty fast through that pothole?

Not sure which 206 model you have but I've been using Meyle HD wishbones for my gti and they seem pretty solid so far. They're uprated with bigger balljoints and thicker bushes. Made in germany so im hoping that means something lol.

Buy cheap buy twice. And that includes twice the price or time for fitting.

No such thing as a free lunch. No such thing as top quality at bargain price. You pay for what you get.

Ask all those Alfa 147 / 156 / GT drivers who fit cheap ebay front suspension parts. It is not worth it and will cost you more not only in the long run but also in no time at all.

Morris 1000, Austin 1100, Escort Mk2, Fiat Mirafiori, Alfa 33, Alfa GT Junior, Alfasud, Alfetta GTV (2x), Alfa 164 3.0 V6, Alfa 164 2.0, Alfa 75 V6, Alfa 156 2.4 (diesel remapped 200bhp), Alfa 147 GTA (3.6 295bhp), Alfa 159 (diesel remapped 245bhp 300ft.lbs @ 2500rpm)
Why isn't my daughter an Alfaholic?

It's very true, buy cheap buy twice. I bought some cheap eBay drop links from eBay to get me through my mot. The only lasted six months! Got lemforder drop links from euros and the lasted years.

And there lies the answer. That must have been a massive 'pot hole' to get both front wheels into it.

They will fit. They are just the same as CC, 138 GTi, XSi wishbones. They do differ to the 1.1 and 1.4 cars.

But I was looking in my local spare parts e-shop and 1.1/1.4 petrol have it the same as my 1.9 diesel, so there is chance that wishbone from 180GTI won't fit?

I think the 180 GTi arms have stiffer metal bushes rather than the rubber ones but thought they are interchangeable across the rest of the range ..
Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

As I said GTi 180 arms are just the same as 138 GTi, XSi etc. They have a single metal and single rubber bush instead of the two rubber bushes on the 8 valve TU engined cars.
