Hi,

The morning while parking the car I noticed a creaking / squeaky sound which appears to be coming from the back left wheel I think. Took car out to pick my child up from school and again noticed this sound while driving slow. I did how ever notice that the sound immediately when I pressed the brakes then re-appeared when moving again.

Anyone else had this sort of problem?

Many Thanks

Well when the last time you checked your rear brakes and drums or discs?

only bought the car a few months back. so have not had the chance to get them checked. Was thinking before I went to the mechanic if there was a caliper or something which could be greased?

Sounds like caliper is locked on take wheel off and see if you can easily take the pad out

it can be a locked caliper,or the brakes need replacement ,as it reached the metal.

Had the same fault on a 306 with rear disks.the rear o/s caliper was siezed solid.used loads of penetrating oil and a rubber mallet to free it off. That fixed mine for 6 months and a similar noise returned. That time it was the rear beam bushes that had perished. Would try the caliper first its easier to do.

Hope this is helpful
