As above - will be wiring in a couple of gauges as soon as time permits. Both need a +12v feed for the illumination - can think of a few, but any that people have used close to the clocks? And best ignition +12v close by?

Ah - didn't think of that one. I was thinking centre console display.
Has anyone wired the earth via the light dimming switch? In theory should work, but we all know how these French love their vehicle electrics

In theory yes, in practice probably not. The dimmer is built into the clocks so probably runs through the BSI. If you are going to the effort of finding the right wire on the loom, then why not just wire them into the sidelight circuit?

Useful info - thank you. Not fussed about the right wire, so ashtray should suffice, and the ignition could come from the radio circuit as it is not used, and would also be fused to protect the gauges.

Thanks Usher. That's the first gauge sorted. Just the oil pressure to have fun with. Anyone thoughts on mounting the sensor remotely, or t-piece from the block?

The oil pressure gauge,you need to replace the one you have,with a sensor give both readings,leveling and pressure,,and use the that for gauge u got

I have a t-piece which will screw into the thread where the existing sensor is, from which I can keep both the sensor and the new gauge. I thought it better to have the warning light as a back up to the gauge. After all, a nice bright red LED is easier to see in the case of over-pressure than a short sweep 52mm gauge...

I could be persuaded to do a "how-to" - should really since I have been here for a few years now! An oil pressure could be a bit overwhelming at first, but looks relatively straightforward.

Well the gauges are done if you have a squizz at my thread. I did take some photos whilst doing it - I just need to fit the OMEX unit and combine it as the wiring is very similar.
Hands cut to sh*t now, but worth it.
