or is it budget? so far after taking over the mrs ex car lol (Lady Penelope) as she called in her fine silver dress and 16inch boots popin off @ locals walking the streets .. First buy was some 16 tsw mono light weight wheels from halfords . £100 last years stock as they where displayed stacked 4 high . no marks but red dots on 3 tyres ! off comes the 17 in wolfrace rims . To big car didnt look right with out being lowerd ,had wobble throu steering @ 80 mph & bold tyres .so @ £12.50 a wheel & tyre i grabbed a bargin .

All fitted with spacers @ wheel bolts from the wolfrace rims. Front right wheel bolts where a bit stiff .( not normal was like its had a big impact in the wheel & bent the bolt a very small amout. looked under the car & front bumper is snaped underneath @ the fixing . Off down the road & still wobble.Mot due soon so i left it to see what would be an issue if any .. It failed on front windscreen water jets & front right wheel bearing.advisory of rear brake pads ..
I fitted new front lower arm & hub front right as i just knew it was bent in some way & saved messing about doing a bearing .£30 ..all new pads £40 & water jet from scrappys 4 free , Abs light comes on as sensor was diffrent in the new hub. i changed it over & it broke . new abs sensor £47 .. all sweet passed mot . sweet now 2 tune it .Looking for an exhaust or some go faster stickers on ebay .I brought the straight thou middle pipe from hoffmans? £34 gt3 back box £ 92 .and a blue massive air filter £17 .15mm wheel spacers jjc? £37 bolts inc..bargin cheep ebay crap? Turns out only the air filter is poor quality due to the rubber seal connection to the air inlet
..Off down the road and its abit loud barry !!! did it pop then ? hell yea as the weeks rolled on the pops and bangs became louder and crisp . the car felt more responsive on throttle & drank petrol quite abit more .. how i dont know ,, ecu must be ..
So whats next looking online there's alot of tune options for the engine or is there for cheep cheep mate ! Best option for me was celtic tuning , after watching there cool videos on youtube it was a must also the gains looked good ,Was on tdi's mostly thou , I booked in .I changed the plugs & oil 5/30 . end result after map was 120.9 @ the wheels with loads of added torque , redline moved to 7,000 Rpm,£ 250 well spent . petrol is better now & is much qucker to drive . Alot more fun .. To be continued B

Whats the point it letting it rev to 7k rpm? Power drops off after 6.5k rpm anyway. Remap won't change that.

Unless you have longer duration cams it won't!

Don't you know that you get the most power when you bounce it off the limiter Wink

And if you add enough fuel line magnets it will improve your fuel efficiency that much that your engine will run on fresh air. Laughing

Seems daft if you want a quick 206. Unless you got a bargain basement 138 the price between that and a 180 is not so far apart. Instead you'd have saved all that money it is going to cost to get it near 180 power and could have lumped it in to a 180.

Still be interesting to see what you do.. pics would be good mate.

Pic will come soon , all 180 drivers are women round here ,and properly else where ! Tuning pug for something to do , see what's what ! 180 don't interest me , all the same 206 is a 206 , , to be different ! I do things my way not your way ,, n this path started on a 138 bhp model ,, my bad ,, just got GT front bumper on it , sits ok needs a touch up & brackets made up to keep it up at a nice angle . Dropped a little one side as bottom plastic bracket is snapped , cannot see it but I know it !
