hi. Whats the situation with .fitting a 4-1 with one sensor fitment .then fitting a de-cat pipe with one sensor fitment as well . no flex joint ? Is it possible to reset? the engine management if the light comes on remapping the car ? I am wanting to install a race manifold off fleabay & do not want any M.O.T issues or engine . maybe make two pipes ? with cat no cat ? get the cat welded in ? can anyone please help me ? Cheers B

it may set off the eml if you fit the fleabay ones as the lambda sockets are not angle-adjusted to compensate for the difference the lambdas should pick up in exhaust gases between the two points.....doesnt effect performance at all though,no limp mode because of it........just a pretty dash

Wouldn't bother with flexi pipes they will always end up leaking down the line

flexi is needed .will last a few years .. 2 1/2inch flexi over the cat pipe im going .. 4-1 manifold long pipes on it for better flow . as for the sensor angle adjusted .grind the socket down where it sits until the gasses flow across the sensor. simpols ..

What size flexi did you use ? I've got 2 1/2 inch and a 61mm pipe to weld up , do you have the cat on ? Going to Cut cat pipe down flexi should fit over the pipe , weld up then 61mm pipe to the manifold pipe, that slots inside. The one holds the gasket , ,got new studs and bolts for manifold just incase ! On it 2mz ,, ! Whoop whoop ! No problem as of yet , just checking with ppl that have done it successfully so I know of any issues ,cheers B ,

It's fitted no flexi all new studs & bolts with cat ,The exhaust lower gasket that came with manifold and the two bolts didn't fit it ! Took me 9 hrs straight ! Back box is blowing & the new water pump is leaking from sum where so all back off to find the leak tomorrow , FFs , all running fine , drinking the juice was ok after remap , new throttle body & cambelt & it's defo drinking . Any info on the water pump leaking would be great , down side to the manifold is I've lost most of my backfire power , it's not poping and banging any more , did until 5 miles down road , it has stopped ,was a sharp crisp gun shot a couple every down shift !

cant see why its stopped popping mine has always done it even with a std exhaust, i would expect issues with no flexi, you need on where the manifold ends and exhaust starts so before the cat, even if its a usniversal one on a 2 flat 2 bolt flange
