Hello,

I replaced the Clutch in my XS recently, Luk Clutch fitted, Genuine Clutch Cable fitted and replaced the sleeve/seal aswell, but the biting point is so high up the pedal, its about 10mm from the end of the pedal.

I have adjusted the pedal, it is now higher than the brake pedal, i cant lower the clutch pedal anymore or the clutch will slip?

Anyone any advice on how to put this right?? I am scared the clutch will soon start to slip and I dont want to ruin my new clutch

Thanks
Glenn.

thanks for that DREWDEN, I must go check if i can pull the cable out of the clutch lever at the gearbox, I must say when fitting the cable it was seriously tight to the point where we had to use a prybar to move the clutch lever back to get the cable in place! I even followed a Peugeot bulletin on how to fit the cable!

Sounds like the cable has auto adjusted before fully fitting.

Because the auto adjusting cable has worked perfectly fine for many years on plenty of other PSA products.

It does the job perfectly, fit it correctly first time & then forget about it.
