I am looking for a little bit of advice after purchasing a second hand peugeot planet cable with software. I have installed it and activated it successfully on a fresh installed XP laptop, but there is no reply from the ecu on a global test and nothing else will respond when testing individually. I am almost certain there is a fault with the lead but has anyone else had a similar issue or know how to remedy it?
If I have missed any info out please inform me so I can update

51 plate 206 2.0 hdi is what I was plugging it into

I take it the green light is glowing on the interface?

Drivers installed correctly for the interface?

Turned the USB power saving setting OFF in device manager on your XP machine?

I'd try another car, Peugeot planet wont usually start unless it detects the cable.

Also check the pins on the cable and the obd port.

That would probably depend on where you are.

Ill stick with Planet / Lexia or as it's known now Diagbox as it's much better & has a hell of a lot more features available for PSA products then anything Snap On could wish for Wink

Diagbox V7.44 does me fine Cool

Have a look at the pins inside the big round connector, a few people have reported these give issues in the past.

Also have you opened up the interface & checked the soldering on to the board where the wires / connector is attached?

hey guys sorry I havent been back on for a few days (Spent the weekend in the lakes)

Qwert please can you elaborate a bit on what to do there, Sorry I am not sure what to look at

heyziq Yeah I followed the instructions to the letter and the Drivers for the interface are correctly installed and recognizes when plugged into the USB ports

MrBSI I did look at the pins in the round connector and all seems well.. also i did open up the interface and the solders seem fine unless there's something even smaller I haven't spotted?

Is there any member Near me in Padiham I could perhaps meet and try to fix over a few drinks? (I am prepared to travel as I'm sure there isn't anyone within 30 miles)

I'm 33.5 miles via M65/M61, even closer through Abbey Village and over the tops. Could be a couple of weeks before I'm free though.
