Hello guys, new to the forum, so first of all, hello! Smile

Bought a 2000 2.0 HDI. I have a central locking issue, it keeps bouncing. I have unplugged both doors and tried it but boot still bouches.

Mine has the factory alarm but I'm assuming it won't work if the central locking is not working. There's a switch in the boot latch but there are no wires attached to it, I'm wondering it that would cause the issue? If so what colour are they so I can rewire it up.

I've tried everything I can think of and read up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Cameron.

I had this problem on my 5 door and it was a rear door I pushed on each door when closed hard 1 by 1 and tried locking each time by chance it was the passenger rear door. I just chopped the open door signal wire (can't remember which colour) but this way the locks still work it just won't bounce if that doors open. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Will.

I've tried that with no luck and don't really want to start cutting wires if I don't know which one it is lol.

I guess my last option would be to short the central locking control unit making it think every thing is closed. Does anyone know where this is located on a 2000 2.0 HDI?

Thanks, Cameron.

Should be a brown connector plug attached to it.

That's the boot switch for the alarm system.
