Hiya,
I will admit I know very little about cars and wanted to get some advice. Habing looked at some forums already I'm pretty sure I have diagnosed my problem as a faulty comms 2000 but wanted some other advice and the best way to go forward.
I have a 1.4 diesel 03 lx 206. I noticed that my lights would turn themselves on randomly, and if they did this, my right indicator wouldn't work. If I turn the lights on myself, the indicator works fine. I have since noticed quite a loud clicking noise when my rear wiper is going. My mechanic said he doesn't deal with electrics on cars but if I find out what the problem is he can take it to the guy who does his electrics for me. I don't feel confident enough doing it myself and I don't think boyfriend would either but I didn't know if it was cheaper for me to buy the replacement part and have it fitted? (And if so I'd need advice on what to buy and where from!) I also wanted to find out if the comms 2000 unit is the only thing it could be, I did read somewhere else about resetting the battery or something along those lines?
Thank you in advance!
Hannah

Not uncommon for a mechanic to use an auto electrician.
