Other than the obvious driveshafts and bolts securing the gearbox to the engine, does the 206 require subframe removal to get the 'box out?

Looking to change the clutch next week (inc a new cable) and don't wanna messing around with the subframe!

Nope. Just lots and lots of bolts! the drivers side driveshshaft can be a bit of a pain to separate from the box. Straight forward though..

Sweet. Thanks mate. I've changed a drivers side shaft on my 1st GTI, with the extra support and 3 tiny bolts.

Shouldn't take long!

Good luck looking for the cable, right hand drive 206 GTI is a hydraulic clutch set up.
