A little update for you all, after getting myself back on the road I've started to do a couple of things though with AS Exams at the minute it's difficult!
So, made a few purchases and tomorrow I'm finally getting rid of that little metal remain of the wiper on the back as I got some grommets as well as the EXCELLENT AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY ME TurtleWax Color Magic, as well as some cheap windscreen cleaner which I need to do tomorrow. Smearrrrrrr!
As you guys can probably tell by the hairdryer, what happened next is no surprise because after removing the front right 'S' badge and front lion badge by crashing into a Beamer and needing replacement parts, I went for the conventional de-badging route lol!
I was so tempted to just leave the lion badge on, but opted against it. Happy with the results!
Also, I tried my hand at detailing for the first time ever! A bit of T-Cut in areas that needed it, a good wash with the sponge, special attention to the wheels and then a good wax saving me the £40 valet job! 3 hours altogether today well spent, really happy with the shine and reflections from the polish!
Another update coming up before the weekend is away!

Second update in 2 days and frankly I've chavved my car as much as possible on a low budget lol!!!
First thing was first - the front grill got a good spray black. Struggled to find an angle with the camera where you can actually see it, here's the best I could do:
Also, I finally fully de-wipered the rear. (Photo with grommet in coming up!)
Anyway... So i might've got some gofaster stickers for my rear window!
And... Well, the finished article!
It won't be everyone's cup of tea, hell it mightn't be anyone's, but I really like it. The Cobra sticker was a horrible shape and I perhaps could've spaced them out slightly more but oh well, who cares lol! The back looks so much better now in my opinion with the lack of badges, wipers and... Sticker-less glass! Lol!

Another update!
So, I've got myself some more stickers. [Insert "It looks tacky/horrible/vile/satanic/not my taste" comment here]. These are the last ones going on because it is starting to clutter up but this is so my taste - I love it. The adidas shoes are my favourite! Thanks to jam3spug on Instagram for showing me where to get them from - not sure if he is on here or not!
Next on the cards was a new head unit. I was looking for one cheap, and I found one on Gumtree. The guy was fairly far away from me but was kind enough to meet me in the middle. I wasn't too fussed as long as I could play music off of my phone, but I'm happy enough that I got a Pioneer one for just £25!
So, time to take the OEM one out! I used 4 nails to get it out of it's housing. That was the easy part...
PLEASE NOTE! These little things are the most vile, satanic and horrible creatures ever. I spit upon them! Thanks to Tolkienfan001 who replied in my thread on the 206 problems area of the forum and Mr.Richmond for his help too. Without you two I wouldn't have carried on and really forced these connectors out and taken it to a specialist, so thanks for saving me the money and time!
Right, so I had went to Halfords to buy one of these facia adapter things. It was £10 and doesn't even fit a 206 properly! Utterly useless! I'll be getting a refund on that thank you very much!
Anyway, the seller had given me his adapter from an Astra or a Vectra or something (I think) and boom! PERFECT FIT!
That's it for today I'm knackered. Next up are some new speakers, though this head unit definitely upgraded the OEM ones! The car is coming along nicely despite the crash in early May and, in my opinion, looks a lot better than it did when I got it way back in November. I can finally play music off of my phone! YES!

Another wee update for you guys. Sort of working my way through the 'Bumper Guide To Budget Modding' thread off info and here's the latest instalment of my chavvy, cheap, 1.1 first car! Anyway, I was at the autospares shop the other day looking a new wrench and socket that actually fitted my wheels when I spotted a tub of Hammerite for £4.99...
And thus the preparation for my Brembo brakes began.... A bit of elbow grease (what I actually mean is using a wire brush drill bit to clean the calipers and then some white spirit to take the grease off) and it was ready for painting!

This was literally my first ever attempt at painting. I am not patient, artistic, steady, talented... Anything, really. I put a stupidly thick first coat on but thankfully it all came out ok. It was blowing a gale - which dried the paint quickly but also made it very hard to actually paint in the first place! Hammerite says 4 hours between coats but I'd the two calipers cleaned, prepared, painted and dried (two coats) in four hours total.
I'll get a couple more minor mods done this week and that'll probably be that for another fortnight or so. I'm pretty happy with how it came out to be honest! What do you guys think? I know it's not to everyone's taste but honestly I really like it!

Another update though a relatively minor one this time...
My steering wheel is knackered. It's all peeled and what not...
So I got myself a nice, chunky racing cover from Amazon. £5.99 delivered (reduced from £18.99). I really like how it looks and feels!
Next up was some new speakers. Thanks to Mr. Richmond and his electronic encyclopedia of a brain for recommending these speakers and helping me fit them! I also used a guide off the internet for getting the door cards off... Those wee white clips are a nightmare!!!
I managed to get that far before getting simultaneous phone calls from my girlfriend asking for a pickup in Newtownards and my Mum informing me that the supercharger on her Range Rover had exploded on the way back from the International Airport. Luckily she and my step-dad are fine but it's not going to be cheap to fix. I've said she can use my car since she's on my insurance until it gets fixed. How nice am I? But yeah, driving about with a polystyrene door was... Different.
I also filed the stopper on the butterfly valve thing on throttle body down. Definitely improved acceleration. Noticed it, thouh only when floored of course.
Just to end, here's a modification list so far:

Plus the polish and various other cleaning products. I'd say so far in terms of aesthetic/modification expenditure I'm at about £200 spent on the car (plus the £185 spent fixing it after May's accident). Not bad!
Currently debating whether to go to England or stay in NI for University. Depending on my decision, I may get another car soon or keep and upgrade this for another year. Not sure yet, but left to do, off the top of my head, is:

- Lexus Rear Lights
- Lowered

Hey guys, another update for you all. First though a pic of my car whilst it was ridiculously shiny! Also, a couple of snaps beside a Mazda MX5... I want

On to the new stuff! I've got myself a subwoofer. Well, sort of. One of my mates has this mega Hi-Fi speaker set up in his house. It's amazing, honestly. Well he upgraded the sub recently and had this JVC one sitting around. So whilst slightly bored today we decided "F**k it! We will try and wire it into my car!"... In all honesty, we never expected it to work.
Out came the head unit and I know what each of the sockets in the plugs mean, so I decided that since I'm going to upgrade my rear speakers soon anyway, I'd just shove the two wires into the same socket as the rear speakers and, half expecting both the sub and the speakers to go 'boom' and break/short circuit, to my utter surprise the sub kicked in to life and the rear speakers continued to work. The wire isn't very long and I can't be arsed moving the sub so I secured it under the glovebox and my mate and I spent an hour blasting bass at high volume, trying to blow the speakers and sub...
Well, neither missed a beat. Absolutely worked perfectly. No amp, just a straight plug in with the rear left speaker socket and a bit of yellow electrical tape. Now I've a mad Hi-Fi sub and a unique set-up. Hey, it cost me exactly nothing. Care? Nope.

Another update.
So first of all I got rid of the factory airbox and paper filter in replacement of a huge, £10 twin cone air filter. Honestly it's so loud. Simple to fit and I just cable tied it above the cold air intake. I'll cut the original airbox to fit the cone filter above it when I get around to doing it as I'm sure that'll help.
Ps I've not lost any noticeable power. Infact, i can still hit 85-90mph in fourth gear. That's no difference at all. It just sounds better. Fuel economy has dropped something like 0.21mpg.

I also got myself some Lexus lights and a fuel cap for £15. The lights were in rough shape, but a power hose, sanding down, 2 cans of £1 poundland gloss black paint (3 coats) and some Halfords clear lacquer (2 coats) soon sorted them out.
As you can see, they really were rough. All flakey, cracked and horrible paint.

Love how they look. Undoubtedly I'll get the stupid comments from people on this site who despise anyone with any car who even remotely goes against the grain of what is 'accepted' on here (lower, nimrods... Generally OEM mods) but stuff them and who cares. I appreciate all feedback, good and bad (bad being 'not my taste' or something) but does my head in when people take such a scything hatred towards aftermarket stuff they don't like whenever it's not their car!!!

So.... Plans plans plans!!!
I've a black GTI spoiler and a new non-sport front bumper (as my one at the minute has cracks and chips galore and is held together with bathroom sealant and cable ties) sitting outside that will be put on relatively soon.
Under my bed I have a CherryBomb backbox which will go on after Christmas. BWAHHHHHHHH!!!!
I'm also going to do a bit of work to the interior. Changing gear knob to red, changing dash bulbs to red and needles to white, red LED footwell lights, red seatbelt pads and some new rear speakers.. Again this will be done after Christmas and everything will be DIY bar the backbox.
I'm also going to spray my rear drums red to go with the front calipers. Since my last update I've put aftermarket clear side indicators in, changed the Lexus rear lights back to ph2 red ones and removed some of the stickers. I also put it through MOT and it needed a fair bit including discs and pads, a tyre etc. The passenger footwell subwoofer has also come out due to breaking
Some more expensive and therefore at the minute unlikely mods include lowering it, bigger wheels and wrapping bits and pieces of the interior like the roof, pillars, dash etc. in alcantara.

Alright everyone hope you're well. First actual update in seven months! Just going to post a load of photos and then write a bit at the bottom:
Right so, what can be said... Modifications up to the last update on this thread (that still remain) are:
- badgeless front grill sprayed black
- front headlight eyelids
- 15" Wolfrace alloys
- red brake calipers
- debadged and dewipered rear
- clear side indicators
- adidas trainer stickers below 3rd brake light
- Pioneer head unit
- FLI front speakers
- Ripspeed seat belt pads
- Streetwize bulky steering wheel cover
- Huge twin-cone air filter
- 206info stickers
- alloy fuel cap w/ black bolts
The modifications that I've removed are:
- Passenger footwell hi-fi subwoofer
- Rear window stickers
- Black lexus rear lights (just put old ph2 ones in again)
And the new stuff:
- Minideflector wind deflectors
- Front and rear tow hooks sprayed red
- 6x9 Edge parcel shelf speakers (temporary wiring until I get an amp lol)
- Cherrybomb exhaust
That's about it. Hopefully get a couple of things done soon. I've a GTI spoiler and a new (same one just not as ruined) front bumper to go on too and as you can see we've moved house to a smallholding so more room to get stuff done. What do you guys think?
