Hi guys,
So I've had my 206 since October and recently (May-ish) the indicator stalk started playing up.
When I turn out of my estate onto the main road (I usually turn right) the indicator will turn off automatically, as it should, but it immediately drops down to a left indicate. Is there a clip or something that I can easily fix myself?
I went to my local dealership yesterday, who told me that it would cost £313 (-20% trade discount) to replace the whole indicator head unit part.
I don't have £280 odd to spare right now.
Any advice?
Cheers guys,
Jord

I looked into that, but my older brother told me when it happened on his 106, he just got a newer clip from the breakers yard, was just wondering if it's the same on a 206?

It is possible to replace individual stalks but chances are the others will go sooner rather then later.
There is a guy on eBay who refurbishes comms units, his prices are decent and I know people who have used him and have had no problems a year later. Can't find the link right now but a Google search will probably bring it up.

Hi all - new to this site although on my 2nd 206 now - a dark green X Reg 1.4 GLX. My wife also has a 206 - a red 02 plate 1.1 style.
My indicator stalk had a mind of it's own - it kept signalling left all by itself. Anyway - I found a simple to follow guide online on how to refurbish the stalk yourself. Followed the guide as stated and now I have a fully refurbished stalk that feels like a brand new part and is in full working order again. Took about 30 mins in all to do, and cost me no money at all.

I take it you followed that guide for the X reg, because it will be no good for your wives 2002 model and no good for the OP with either his 2002 or 2007 model.

Yep it was on my car. I know the stalks are bigger on the later cars - can't imagine the innards would be that much different.

So that's all one unit then? My wife's one occasionally drops down and starts signalling left after self cancelling - doesn't do it all the time though.
I take it these ones aren't user serviceable?
