Hi my friend has just got a diesel Peugeot it has been stood a while they is no grunge or yellow on the oil cap it's not over heating but in the water tank it is like black water anyone got any ideas maybe does it just need a coolant change ? Any suggestions would be appreciated

Is it straight black oil? Not a yellowie colour? If its black,i would look at the oil/water heat exchanger and if its yellowie i would look at the headgasket

No it's black mate like oil where would I find the oil water heat exchanger is that a part that would need changing
