Hi all im looking for advice on my car I've read the housing on these can crack and took apart to have a look, fitted a new filter and cleaned up the housing. After starting I noticed where the leak is coming from in the picture circled in red why would it leak from this hole/area seems a bit off to me!

then you need to replace it with a new one...nothing else can be done to that issue.
