So I've been driving my 206 round for a few months now and I've been putting together a list of stuff that I want to do. So I'm planning on starting (and have already done a few minor things) in the next month or two.

The car is a 2004 1.4l 8v zest

The list is as follows:
[COMPLETED]
Get some alloy wheels (307 16" painted gunmetal grey)
Add a 3.5mm jack somewhere in the car
Carbon wrap a few interior parts

[IN PROG]
Colour code (
Switch the steering wheel to a leather GTI one (Waiting for T55 torx screw)
Swap the ugly stock gear knob for the GTI metal one (In post)
Lower by 40mm~ (Got replacement bolts and drill bits to remove stripped bolts. Doing this next Saturday)

[NOT STARTED]
Rip the internals out of a spare 206 stereo and center panel display and replace with an arduino and custom screen.
Install an under seat subwoofer {I'm thinking about mounting a sub under my glove box instead. Don't like the idea of one in the boot}
Change out the rear lights
SP Grille and bonnet vents
Replace the plastic interior handles with metal SP ones

[SCRAPPED (For now?)]
Aftermarket exhaust
Swap out the suspension
Rear brake conversion from drums to discs

[IN A FEW YEARS]
Turbo :b

I think there is more but I can't remember right now Razz I'll add stuff as I think of it.

Moar pics soon!

~Rational

------------------------------------------------
Carbon wrapped centre console (And non-leather steering wheel all but down to the foam :/ and NFC sticker that turns my phone bluetooth on and connects it to the car)

Ash tray, 3.5mm jack mod with bluetooth receiver plugged in.

Handle surrounds (replacing the handles with metal ones soon)

Handle painting in progress!

After way to long (The last couple months have been finishing A-Levels and getting a job) I have finally got the time and money to really start working on my car again.
So far I have got some alloy wheels, 16" Ariannes from some 307 that was scrapped, and painted them gunmetal grey. I need to repaint two as at some point when I was having the MOT done (mechanic had to replace the passenger side wishbone after cutting it out D:), some ass hat put a major gutter rash on one :'( and then I put a little ding in one myself... They make the car look so much better but I've had a few friends say the car looks like it's floating, so time to lower it! (I'll put up pics of the wheels later).

To lower the car I need to drill out a stripped bolt from the suspension but before that I need to get my drill to work and order a new bolt from the dealer, a bit of a mission but I can imagine it being well worth it. I also need to call up my insurance and find out how much it's going to cost me to replace the front springs (probably a load of orphan tears and several arms and legs).

I have wrapped some interior parts with carbon fibre wrap (£8, several hours careful work and it looks amazing!) the centre console, door handle surrounds, ashtray lid and the map light or whatever you want to call it. (Again pics up later).

And finally, I recently bought some of the paint I need to colour code the car. Halfords only stocks three cans at a time it seems so I will likely be making several trips.

My local Halfords stocks between 8 and 10 of my colour, ask the manager if he can order more in for you. I used to get 2-3 cans a fortnight because I kept messing up and had to re-do it!

Get the paint from Peugeot, it's usually cheaper and includes primer....plus it's the right colour!

All very good suggestions! I need to talk to the Peugeot people anyway about that bolt so if it is cheaper from them then I will definitely go for it. I tried out spraying my passenger side door handle this evening (only done one of four, gonna look like a tool till the rest are done haha) and the halyards colour is pretty much spot on.

MrWhite what did you tell your insurance company when you got the conversion done? I'm thinking about just saying suspension, I reckon that should cover it :b (ATM it's just fact finding I'm not gonna pay them more until I have all the prices done).

Took a few pics gonna pop them in the next post, couldn't take one of the car itself as I was parked into an awkward position in the drive :b

So after taking a break over winter to hibernate (aka build up some cash) I put some new things up in the todo list! Just got round to ordering a few things as well, a leather GTi steering wheel, GTi SP gear knob and bolts to replace the stripped one in my torsion bar as well as the drill bits to do it. I would have the steering wheel on now but I don't have the huge t55 torx bit needed to take it off :/ so now I have to wait for that to arrive.

This next Saturday me and some friends will be lowering the rear finally Very Happy we were going to do it this weekend but ran out of time after going round buying a load of things.

As a software consultant I have been wanting to update the tech in my car for ages, I have been planning to put some kind of micro controller into the car somewhere, as well as hiding the bluetooth adapter and having it permanently powered and connected.
After watching an episode of mighty car mods and seeing a friend of theirs put an arduino into the stock stereo. So I'm going to do something similar but I'm also going to replace the screen in the center console with a better one.

And finally if the sun is out at any point this week, and I am back from work in time to catch it I will take a few pics of the outside of the car and the new wheels., covered in all the glorious winter muck courtesy of our English roads!
