Hi guys...sorry I have not been around a while.

I have purchased a set of alloys at such a good price I couldn't say no. I was informed that they would be ok on my 206. I have sent them for chroming etc and now been told by the chroming guy that they will probably be too big and rub on my arches??
They are 17" alloys and my standard wheels are 15".

Have I done a wrong'un?? Rolling Eyes

Welcome back Rock!
17's can fit under the arches no problem but its all down to what the offset is, don't suppose you or the chroming guy happen to know?
Or perhaps the original advertisement would of stated ET30 or something like that.

No that's something I don't know. All I know is they are a nice set of 4 stud (that's one thing I did check) alloys and I asked the guy selling, if they would fit on a pug 206. I also asked a friend who is a Peugeot mechanic and he also said more than likely. Once I get them back im just gonna have to have a try. If they don't fit then I will have to try selling them but not sure they will be everyone cup of tea.....Im having then chromed purple.

Can't say I recognise the style at all just by eye. Could always ask the seller for make or even the ET would be handy.
They seem to have quite a high profile tyre for 17's which could cause some arch rubbing on the fronts, perhaps this is what your friend means.
If push come to shuve the offset could be worked out by taking a couple of measurements.

What He Said

ET is often stamped into the back of the rim ...

Possible that they're off a bigger Pug, like a 307) which will have a bigger overall diameter wheel compared to the 206, hence the higher profile tyre.

In short, the rims might well be OK, but the wheels as assembled currently might be to big. Solvable by replacing the tyres with proper sized ones for a 206 (205/40-17) if the width of the rim is suited for that width tyre.
