Can anybody recommend a good garage around the Leicester area other than the main dealers to have a cam belt fitted at a competitive price

prices will change depending what size engine you have i.e its much easier to change one on a 1.1 then a 180

best thing to do is ring around and get quotes, no point in asking on here really mate

Sometimes main dealers do very competitive fixed price cambelt replacement offers Wink

Its worth a phone call & asking.

Hi,

Been quoted £105 +Vat which I'm more than happy about but have since been quoted

£245
£300
£180 ...with most garages recommending extra replacement of water pump etc

Just wondering how much is them trying to make an extra buck and how much would anyone recommend as almost essential/worth it In the long run but I'd like to keep the costs under £200

Thanks.

I would 1 million percent replace the water pump at the same time. Its silly not to when your there, as thats normally what causes belt failure.

Make sure you also have a kit and NOT just the belt like some rogue garages do
