I have a Peugeot 206 gti year 2000 w reg.
The engine is surging any ideas!
On tick over it is normal and steady with no miss firing or surging, the problem occurs when I am driving, I press the accelerator and the car accelerates as it should, The problem occurs then if I depress the clutch to change down or up a gear, with the rev counter remaining where it was for around 5 or 6 secs before dropping back to idle!
I have recently had a new fuel filter fitted was wondering if maybe this had something to do with it???
Also the throttle body has been recently cleaned with the garage saying that it was extremely badly choked up with carbon deposits!
I have had had the car connected up to a diagnostic reader, but no error codes are showing up on the engine management unit and everything appears to be functioning normally,no probs showing with the injectors or plugs and the lamba sensor is working fine also!
To be honest Im at a bit of a loss now as to what it could be!
Heres hoping that maybe one of you bright sparks out there might be able to help me out!
