As above, came out to my 2003 206 1.4 petrol to find a pool of water in the footwell. It's been stood for 2 days in the rain and I think it's come in through the bottom of the door seal as that's where it's wet but the seal looks in good condition so I'm not sure why it's letting water in?
Any help much appreciated

Check that the drain holes in the bottom of the door are not clogged. Also check the membrane behind the door card.

The door card has come away from the actual door a little bit at the bottom could this be causing it?

Get someone to soak the car with a hose whilst your sat in it, easiest way to locate where it is coming in from.

The door card itself has no water seal, that should be dealt with earlier, by A: the membrane that should lead any water coming towards the inside of the door to the bottom, and B: dropping the water out the bottom through the drains. Any water that actually gets to the back side of the door card will get inside the car as there will be a (tiny) gap between the card and the metal as the card is only held by clips.
Make sure the membrane isn't ripped or has come loose along the edges, and that the drain holes are aren't blocked

I had the same problem, couldn't find out where it was coming from so I ended up cutting a hole in the door seal at the bottom, footwell has not been wet since.

Only other thing I can think of, if it's actually the door, is if the seal doesn't seal against the door properly (alignment, warping?) - could try putting a thin layer of , say, vaseline on the seal, closing the door and then open it to check if you've got vaseline all along the mating surface on the door...
Other than that, time for a buddy with a hose while you look for where it enters the cabin and then try to trace it backwards - water can take weird routes sometimes... On my mother's car the replacement windscreen hadn't been properly bonded for about a 4" length and water made its way quite discreetly through the dash to end up in the footwell, making the door look suspect. So try to limit the hose to one area at a time.
