Hi, a friend has bought her daughter a 2005 206, 1.1 sport 3door as her first car. The rear tailgate is not in great condition. Would a tailgate from a 5 door fit? And is it easy enough to do? I'm no master mechanic but can find my way round a car, my main query is about the wiring is it on a plug or am I in for a load of soldering?
Also the 12v needs replacing, is access via the gear stick gator and shoving my hand in the gap?
Thanks very much

The tailgate from a 5 door will fit. Just 4 bolts off the top of my head and from what I remember the loom is easily changed. It just plugs in near the N/S/R light
The 12v socket is easier to get to if you remove the trim behind/around the handbrake. The other option is to pop out the window switch and struggle through the hole.

Macca, took the electric window switches out (the whole thing inc the little panel they are fitted into) then prise the metal bit of 12v socket out the orange plastic surround. then wiggle the orange plastic bit out.
