I suppose somebody had to buy it
www.206info.co.uk/Foru...61847.html

At least you might get £100 back on it for scrap.

Scrap/break it, the money needed to make this car decent is not worth the hassle.

Just strip it, the headlights alone if there genuine morettes in good nick will go for £100+ so that's already most of your money back.
Smoothed tailgate £50ish+ depending on condition
Someone some where will buy the alloys and probably the rear lights £100+
GTI Spoiler £50-80ish
Badgeless front grille and bonnet combo will go easy providing it's welded and not been filled.
That's your money back right there and scrap the rest for more profit

Going by those guestimates, I could probably say you haven't sold much on here? Laughing

There isn't much money in breaking standard cars, modified cars are even worse.

Broke and sold a few cars over the years. Bought, refurbed and sold a handful of items from 206's in the past few months so I'm by no means new to it..
but the guesstimates are based on very good to OK conditions (which there probably not at a guess) and the items listed get sold at them prices often enough to make them justifiable, perhaps stuff is a little cheaper up north Wink

The majority of the parts I sold went down south, so perhaps not Wink on here, a spoiler can go for as little as £20 - £40 these days. If you can get those prices you are quoting then fair play, but I've found with the 206 people are wanting parts for next to nothing. People that break them for a living must have the patience of a saint Laughing

Seriously am I the only one that likes the car? And feels it would be a shame for it to be broken? Laughing

Totally agree, people do want them for next to nothing, who doesn't! and your guesstimate on the spoiler is about right, but again I think condition is a key factor, a refurbed like new would surpass that which is why I estimated high, a habit I guess! Breaking for a living requires three things, patients, a lot of space and no wife/girlfriend Laughing
