Main reason why DV6's aren't reliable? Ford help build them
And you have to keep it serviced regular as

Lot of potential in diesels for more power, especially with a blower. Keep the tuning sensible and it should be ok

2.0 HDI is a DW10, there pretty much proven bulletproof if looked after.
A DV6 is the 1.6 HDI 16 valve, it's like holding a hand grenade with the pin removed & your starting to get cramp in your hand
The DV6 also has a dual mass flywheel & a depollution filter, both designed to empty your wallet

Thank god for that, Was panicking for a minute there. Not sure when it was last serviced and not sure if it has service history either if it doesn't and i can't find out when it was last serviced will just give it one for piece of mind. Glad to here that the engines aren't sh*t wasn't sure about it having 120K on the clock and me wanting to keep for a few years until my insurance drops and i build up a few years no claims

Don't worry about the milage keep it maintained and it'l be fine my last one was still going very strong with 260k when I sold it and as far as I know it's still getting the guy to work everyday as it's still taxed 2 years later

Engine cover clips & crank pulley are known issues, both parts have been modified by PSA Peugeot / Citroen.
The only other known issue is idiots putting unleaded in the tank & contaminating the fuel system.
Other then that it will be a huge difference from driving a TU1 Saxo.
A TU1 Saxo is pretty nippy as the TU1 likes to rev & a Saxo weighs about as much as a crisp packet.
A 206 is more heavy BUT with DW10 power you have a lot more low down torque to pull the car along.

I think any form of 206 is more refined than a saxo but they have plenty of low end lazy grunt lose the egr and get it mapped and they go pretty well for what they are never really had any problems with mine apart from consumables and the odd suspension part needing replacement

Seems a bit risky lol Heard about a guy that got stopped by the police and they seized his car and cancelled his insurance because his wheels weren't declared

Well if that is a problem stick to getting it mechanically spot on I would still block the egr though as they don't half like to gunk up
