Hi guys.

I see so often people trying to modify their cars so they have so power that they may take off.

For me power isn't always the main thing but driving skills are.

I come from a motorcycle past and bikes that do 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds, with bikes the skills come in at the corners, bikes are great at being unforgiving, get it wrong and you straight under a lorry.

Now i,ve not had a bike since 2007, when i 1st tried a car i thought someone had ran off with the engine, it was a 2lt vectra, omg it was slow. But because of my riding skills i could do things with that car others wouldn't dream off yet people see it as dangerous but for me it,s so easy i don,t even have to try.

My peugeot 206 grand tourisme it has 138 bhp its quick but compared to a bike its very slow, but again that 138 bhp i can do anything with, i see nearly every day people flying down the local main road but i notice they can't do the corners, also their braking is far too early, it takes years to get to a level where you can have fun yet be very safe, i like twisty roads and not flat out speeds, its far more fun in twisty bits than down long straights.

Power isn't everthing, with skills and spot on judgment you can do anything with any car or bike.

You mean like rolling a car in to a ditch and being lucky to be alive?

Why you would even worry about when you should braking late or early on public roads is a mystery to me.

On a track however is a different matter as momentum is everything, but again braking points on a track are only really relevant if you have a car setup for track use in the first place imo.

lmfao .. power is everything when you know how to use it . Tyres brakes ride hight spring rebound compression .lsd setup . it all plays its part .
Bikes are slower in corners faster on the straights = Power /weight
Most driving is down the lines you take smoother the line the more speed you can carry later braking & BIGGER THE BAWS THE BETTER !
i bet you s*^# yourself when the back end kicks out .
Bike back ground means your use to higher speeds not how a car handles .

Did i s**t myself, not in the slightest, braced with arms and ducked near gear stick, i like to push, crashing is part of being a biker if you don't crash then you not trying hard enough.

Bikers are slower than cars through corners but they have 2 wheels not 4, don,t have abs.

Lmfao on public roads, everyone drives over the limits.

Its all good, i,m upside down in that car but still had time to turn the cd player down, i kicked the back door open got my things went to hospital for a check up, 2 weeks latter got this gt and the crash has never happened.

Lol god i wish, how cool would that be, ye vaentino is getting on abit but hes made young marc marques work, can't wait for the new session to start, really hope cal crutchalow, scott redding and Brady is up there.

I love to have a go on a motogp bike, omg 260 plus bhp with 167 kg weight, i would need red bull because i be needing wings lol.

Most of the posts on here has been at me for crashing, yes i,m quick but i never go beyond my limit or the car, what ever happened that day i will never know, how can a front wheel drive car spin round when its nearly pointing straight, into the corner perfect, through the corner no signs then nearly straight its gone, no warnings, its spun round like its a full handbrake turn. Being an x biker cornering is super smooth with no sudden turning.

Some responses are funny to be honest, makes me die laughing, suddenly its all law abiding, mmmm i think there's some noses getting longer, no one keeps to speed limits even police don,t, i was doing 90 behind a copper, he should be doing 70 mh like other road user that was on the A1 near peterborough, his blue lights wasn't on so i could of reported him or nicked him myself.

All i was saying about power isn't everthing, i can overtake similar to bikes in and out of trafic, pick them off, very easy, slot in then control the cars behind, if its a lorry then back them off so i can get the car in its power range and overtake no problem.

I see so often people stuck behind lorries, or so close they can,t see a thing, the driving lessons should have overtaking as standard.
Please anyone don,t post and say i,m dangerous, dangerous is when you don,t know what you doing, i have 3 members of my family in my car and they all say i can handle a car, i never panic, coming from 180 mph bikes to slow cars everthing i see happens in slow motion, i,m so used to this it is second nature.

I,ve had 4 bike crashes, 115, 80, 30 and 30 mph and 1 car crash a few months back, if it was my fault i,m ok with it, funhy this i was behind another car and a van was behind me but i crash, if the back end of the car has failed then its a thing to watch out for.

I lost the back end of mine at 30 on a country road on some mud and lichen on the corner. You cannot predict these things, but had I been going any faster, I'd likely have gone off the 40ft drop on the outside of the turn rather than hitting a curb and wall. The only reason I am still here today is because I was going slow enough that I could catch the car and guide it through the slide to crash somewhere safe, without careering over the drop or smashing straight into the oncoming Volvo.

You've had 5 crashes, 2 at stupid speeds. Take a step back, look at yourself, and think before you speed. Public roads are not racetracks, they are full of other drivers, many of whom will not be as good at handling a car as you. If you are travelling in a way you think safe, it may spook them, or they may not be able to deal with it, and cause a crash.

Before you hoon off "having fun", think, "it it goes wrong, do I want to risk my life, the life of any family/friends in the car with me, and the lives of the other motorists that may be part of the accident".
