So I decided to get my reg plates re-printed and got them looking nicer - no boarder and no GB badge.
So here are what my old ones looked like
Old Front
Old Rear
And here are the new ones on the car today
New Front
New Rear
What do you guys think?

Looks clean and tidy mate, especially with out the screw holes! Going to be getting some metal pressed ones in the coming week myself.

I believe the numberplate should include the manufacturers/suppliers name and address at the bottom (Correct me if I'm wrong)

The number plates have the Halfords logo and address on them - I wouldn't buy something that would make my car illegal

Must be very feint as can't see anything at all on them, and it would be a good enough reason to get you pulled over so that the police could have a closer look. There is no specification on how visible the name and postcode should be, only that it should not exceed 178mm x 13mm
Old plates were illegal anyway with the logo on the left. Only thing you can have is the country flag or European stars.
So many rules governing the supply and sale of plates nowadays, something which some suppliers don't bother with and just say the plates are sold as show plates. Halfords should be registered, but whether every store records ID and proof of right to display the plate is another question.

Ah right. Well I never got stopped for the old plates. My dad has the same ones and has never been stopped. We'll just have to see what happens in yhe future. But I can guarantee that the plates have the logo on them. Like I say. I have had the previous plates for over a year and a half and I havent been pulled yet. I put these pics on because I thought they looked decent but the amount of slack im getting is a bit uncalled for.

It's not so much slack, more just making you aware of possible outcomes with using these particular plates. Looking out for your best interests is a better way of putting it.
I honestly think you'll never get pulled for them, the only times your likely to be pulled for plates nowadays is because of wrong fonts and spacing. Even if you did the worst case scenario is you'll be told to replace them and that's that, a decent attitude would help with that of course.

See now if that wad put in the first place I would be like. Yeah thats fine I get that.
To jump to conclusions say 'Nice & Illegal' is a bit far.
