Great figured out how to add pics finally

Sorry - night time pic of my new (to me) basic GTI

It has 76k on it Moonstone and with half leather etc - nice but needed a bit of tlc and service - basic suff

Going to add a k & N panel filter (no induction kit here!) and possibly a stainless cat back system as i think the original one is pretty poor and the centre pipe has seen better days

Any suggestions as this has to be cheap (ish) I had a Peco stainless one on a Puma I built and that was good value - dont want loud

I suspect a remap isnt going to do much but once ive done the few mods any suggestions other than Superchips

As for the looks of the car its totally standard - not too mad on all the black external trim - bumper trim etc and the lights fronts are ok but the rears (sorry pic to follow) are the standard red ones

Not mad on the Lexus style ones any other suggestions -

Rear spoiler on the way so that will tidy up the back

Any other ideas without spending too much...............

Welcome to the forum John! Nice to see you going for an uprated panel filter compared to an induction kit (whose results are controversial at best). Would love to see some more pictures of the car. Have a look at this thread for rear light options: 206info.co.uk/Forums/v...16875.html
I personally think the black zunsport grill looks much better than the silver one. Let us know how you get on mate Smile

Looks really tidy.

I'm looking into a Sportex cat back system as the centre pipe on mine has seen better days too. Seen some good reviews about them and there not expensive either. In regards to a remap, I'm going to get injex performance in Northampton to do mine at some point. There only down the road from me and only heard good things about them.

Also if you change your mind on Lexus lights I've got some for sale! Haha

Thanks for the comments and help guys - will look at the options on lights - briefly there seem to be quite a few - yes black bumpers etc gotta go and will get that and the spoiler done at the same time - InJex - will look them up - I suspect you need to do your various mods and then remap to take full advantage of them fueling etc - certainly did when I had Ecutec remap on my scooby WRX - right some looking up and then the credit card then - will take some pics when its not snowing/raining or just crap weather

Ok two steps forward and three backwards. Went to have the tracking checked to find tack rod ends are knackered as well one inner arm and both wishbones argh and one lower ball joint pinch bolt has been bodged. Surprisingly it handles ok - looks like new lights are going to have to wait while I melt my card at Euro car parts hmmmmmm

Sorry been ill - got a tummy ache from the little one and let's just say me and the toilet have been best friends for few days - children who'd have em.

First a good clean - have a look at the alloys which are not kerbed but going a tiny bit flakey, paint the black stuff body colour - have an SP(?) rear spoiler which I need to paint which I got off fleabay

That's for starters and yes I need some pics up

iCV Fitted as well as a new camshaft sensor - found the old sensor was not connected - weird - I asume there was some issue with it so it was disconnected maybe. Runs smooth now but still a little lumpy at cold start up
