Hello

Fitted new coilovers on Saturday to my 180..ball ache job to do! Finally got them in and all sorted however during fitting small amount of gearbox oil came out but pushed driveshaft back in. Howver noticed yesterday that a small few drops had appeared so wiped the understand of the car off howver looked again tonight and seen this? Any ideas?

Fitted new coilovers, drop links and top mount bearings car is pulling to the left slightly now?

When you lower a car, the tracking alters. You need the tracking to be adjusted

That as well as driveshaft oil seal, as soon as the shaft comes out of the seal it HAS to be replaced otherwise the above happens

Ah brillisnt Adam thanks for that! Will get on that asap! I have to get new tyres for my wheels that are being resprayed so when I get thrm fitted will get the tracking done at the same time!:)

+1 Damaging the seal when the drive shaft pops out is 50/50 but obviously that is what has happened.

+1 you need the tracking done.

Note: lowering increases the camber so you will get increased inner edge tyre wear so keep an eye on those tyres. It wouldn't be the first time that within 10,000 even as low as 5,000 miles the inner edges are down to the steel wires. Most aren't that bad but depends how much you have lowered it so watch them closely.

To reduce the inner edge wear you could ask to have less negative toe when the car is tracked (halving it is a good starting point) but it will reduce the sharpness of turn in on bends. The benefit is not only less wear but the car will be less "fidgety" and more relaxed to drive. If it is lowered just for the look and you aren't doing track days then this might be worth trying.
