Reboot the BSI unit would be first step.

Cross your fingers that reversing the jump leads hasn't caused damage to the BSI unit.

Do I do that the same way I disconnect the battery?

There aren't any other issues...yet

I agree with MrBSI,even when you help others with a jump start, you need to be careful even if the leads is in the right direction, and remember not to connect the negative lead directly to the negative battery terminal, but connect it to one of the engine metal brackets.

anyway, the reboot for the BSI have been all around the forum, but to i will mention it fast Smile

1-leave the driver window open (you will need it later)
2-leave the car for 5 min. (or till you hear a tick sound) which means the BSI is asleep.
3-Keep all the door closed, don't open any door, and make sure everything is turned off, radio, doom light...headlights....etc.
4-disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive one.
5-leave the car for about 5-10 min.
6-reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative one.
7-turn the headlights on,WITHOUT open any door, use the window, that is why we kept it open in the first place :D,and that is it,you are done, start the car,and check that everything works good.

Good Luck, and pray that things will be back to normal,or you will need a new BSI.
