Hello, just putting my gear box back together and was wondering due to the fluid lost removing the drive shafts how much do i top it up and how do i do it is there a drain plug and fill plug, my car is a 2001 gti? help appreciated

2 litres required. 17mm (IIRC) bung on top of the gearbox (its the breather too) Can fill from there...normally there is a 19mm level bung in the passengers side of the box which you can remove and fill to that level.
