RobStar: you need to tell us where you are located. Someone here may be close who can give you genuine support and read your car with PP (Peugeot Planet) 2000. Anything less is wasting time, though when you do get it back go through the BSI shut down and reset procedure. That may help though I am not sure if the codes you have need to be reset first. Nothing lost trying though.
In future if you get someone working on your car start by asking them to describe BSI procedure; not just say yes they know it. That is a reasonable indication that they know what they are doing.

Just collected my car and here are the fault codes I got from him. (He didn't seem very prepared to give me the codes and at first said "ow, I will need to do another diagnostic if you want the codes" to which I replied "Well didnt you have the current codes already written down...". Long story cut short, he gave me them.
1- Engine codes.
UO415 : No vehicle speed information transmitted by the ABS/ESP ECU (No Signal)
2- Airbag Codes.
P1042 : vehicle speed information not defined
P106F : passengers airbag deactivation. Not defined.
P1A5O : Supply voltage not defined.
3- Body Control codes
Communication fault with the ABS or ESP (Permanant fault)
4- ABS Codes
NO COMMUNICATION.
That is everything word by word written on the sheet of paper he gave me.
Hope that helps.
My car is a -
206 (obviously)
1380CC
3door
Verve
Hatchback
Year 2006
I'm located in Coventry.

Did he check the feeds? Pm me over the last 8 of the vin and i will tell you which ones
If you need a new abs ecu you can go second hand. It does not require coding and can be separated from the hydraulic block easily

I'm about a half hour drive to Coventry, once you get it fixed I can clear the codes for you if you want?

I love my 206 but even second hand & labour will cost me £600. The guy in the garage said that he can't just stick in a second hand ABS unit and it will need coding so he wouldn't do it for me.
I only paid £1300 for the car, having replaced the batter for £90 and put a new lock on the drivers side for £120, with that and the fix of the ABS issue I will have paid £2100 for the car. It's at this stage I need to consider where I draw the line on outrageous payments...
I'm not driving it about much because it has no speedometer. Part of me thinks this car is now just going to be a part exchange for a new car.
I love the 206 so much.
But so upset it's costing me almost as much as I paid for it.

This really needs a scan with Peugeot Planet before any more parts are thrown at it or money spent.

The garage was using an rather old MODIS model which he told me about. He said that there is nothing wrong with the MODIS and it will essentially do exactly the same as the PP.

Definitely won't do the same as PP2000. It will have some features, but won't do everything. Don't listen to the guy

That is complete load of b******s! I work for peugeot as a diag tech and can tell you any 206 abs ecu without esp would fit and work!
I probably have one kicking about. Has it checked all the feeds? As it could be as simple as a fuse blown! Or a failed bm34!

I don't think he check feeds correctly, otherwise he wouldn't have gave me the "I have know idea why this has happened" story.
I've been very put off by independent garages now and even considered drawing the line with diagnostics I've had done on the car.
I really appreciate everyone's advice and help, in fact if it wasn't for you guys I probably wouldn't of even got the codes because I wouldn't of known I was allowed to have them.
The garage I went has certainly felt like a hell garage story I avoided...

Hi mate, I've got an abs ecu you can have for free, not sure if it's the same one as yours,
i'll be scrapping the car over the weekend so I don't mind taking it off before it goes,
perhaps Addaz or Mr BSI would know if it will fit.
My car is a 2004 1.4 with drums on the back, don't know if it makes any difference but the abs worked fine and it was probably the only thing on the car that hasn't gone wrong in the last 12 months that I've owned it lol.
let me know if you want it and i'll take it off on Saturday.
Ian.

Addaz is correct coding will not be needed if you use an abs Ecu & pump from another 206 that is of same year to be safe. Get the numbers off your part an type it into ebay, use your handbook to check the fuses for the abs.

With everything that has happened to my car and with the countless diagnostics and the countless amount of garages I have take it too I've decided that paying for it to get back on the road as finally out-weighed the value of the actual car.
I've had to replace lots on it and now have come to a point where I need to look at wether it is now worth it financially.
The 206 is such a good drive and by far has been one of the most reliable cars I've drove including the Citroen C3 and Mini Cooper. Really love the easy ha doing that the 206 offers. I've decided to part exchange my 206 for a new car.
I can't thank you guys enough for the help you have all offered. I've learnt and awful lots not only about Peugeot but cars in general.
Thank you all.
Rob
